With the targeted expansion of the Push-X product line, Phoenix Contact is setting new standards in connection technology. As a distributor, Börsig views this development as a logical step toward even more efficient and future-proof wiring solutions.
The focus is on expanding the XT portfolio to include terminal blocks with a nominal cross-section of 4 mm², enabling Push-X technology to now provide consistent, tool-free wiring for conductor cross-sections ranging from 0.34 to 25 mm².
Tool-free, fast, and reliable
Push-X technology is based on a factory-preloaded contact spring that allows for particularly simple, fast, secure, and low-effort wiring. All conductor types—whether rigid or flexible, with or without ferrule—can be connected directly.
For the user, this means:
- No tools required
- Minimal effort required for connection
- Significantly reduced installation times
- High process reliability
An audible click signal and a visual indicator further ensure reliable and unambiguous contact.
Optimized for Industry and Automation
With a rated current of up to 32 A and a rated voltage of 500 V, the new XT-4 terminal blocks are ideal for demanding applications in mechanical engineering, control panel construction, and industrial automation.
The ease of use and high repeatability also make this technology particularly attractive for automated wiring processes—a decisive advantage in the context of Industry 4.0.
Greater Flexibility Throughout the Entire Wiring Process
This latest expansion creates a comprehensive system that covers a wide variety of conductor cross-sections and applications. Users benefit from:
- Standardized connection technology across different cross-sections
- Reduced variety of variants and simplified planning
- Time and cost savings in installation and service
- High operational reliability
With the expansion of the Push-X program, Phoenix Contact is underscoring its leadership in innovation in the field of industrial connection technology. For our customers, this means one thing above all: faster, safer, and more efficient wiring processes—both manual and automated.
