With 30 spring-loaded contacts and designed for 400A continuous current, the new HSK5455 high-current pin from PTR Hartmann GmbH perfectly meets the increasing demands of the industry for ever more stable performance in contact tests, even at high currents.
The HSK5455 offers very high contact reliability even in the presence of vibrations and transverse forces, making it particularly suitable for use under harsh conditions. The specially designed probe head compensates axial tolerances with a deflection of up to 3.0 °. The materials used also guarantee a long service life and a particularly low voltage drop during testing. The HSK5455 is suitable for contacting prismatic battery cells, battery modules and battery packs, as well as for contacting busbars.
By sliding on a cable lug at the end of the contact, the electrical connection can be made, thus enabling quick connection and disconnection. In order not to hinder the movement, a highly flexible conductor is recommended for the connection.
