Broadcast Antennas

HIRSCHMANN MOBILITY's broadcast antennas ensure interference-free reception of broadcasting services. These are usually transmitted via terrestrial stations, which can, however, achieve a lower range than satellite transmission. In order to compensate for attenuation losses in the reception system and due to the low power and voltage values of the signals, their amplification is necessary. The broadcast antennas from HIRSCHMANN MOBILITY enable the reception of audio streams (broadcast antennas) and video streams (TV antennas). Suitable amplifiers as well as extension and adapter cables are available for all broadcast antennas.

Broadcast Antennas

HIRSCHMANN MOBILITY broadcast antennas support the AM and FM analogue radio services, the DAB (+) digital radio service and the SDARS digital satellite radio. The antenna systems are used in particular in passenger cars, trucks, commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles. They are robust and provide powerful, high-quality reception. Due to the wide range of configuration options and the multitude of designs, the antennas can be used flexibly and adapted to available assembly rooms.

The broadcast antennas are also available as aftermarket products and /or with customer-specific adaptations. These can be adapted to existing vehicle concepts as external roof antennas or integrated (embedded) antenna systems. Depending on customer requirements, the antennas can be combined with telephone or radio-controlled central locking services and can be individually adapted to each vehicle.

Features:

There are three main concepts for the operation of terrestrial antennas:

1. Rod Antennas - antennas that are visibly mounted on the body of the vehicle.
2. Flexible Antenna constructions - antennas which are mounted invisibly under plastic parts such as spoilers.
3. Glass Antennas - Metallic antenna structures that are invisibly integrated into the front, side window or rear window.

TV Antennas

The TV antenna systems from HIRSCHMANN MOBILITY are suitable for receiving global digital TV transmission standards such as DVB-T, DVB-T-2, ISDB-T, DTMB/CMMB or T-DMB. The antennas are available both as external and integrated versions. With the TV antennas, all terrestrial frequencies used worldwide can be received. They can also be combined with radio or other services. Since the TV antenna systems are developed according to customer requirements, they are adapted to the respective assembly rooms and construction standards of the individual vehicles.

The TV antennas are also available as aftermarket products and/ or with customer-specific adaptations. These can be adapted to existing vehicle concepts as external roof antennas or integrated (embedded) antenna systems.
